North Carolina has one of the most rapidly growing immigrant populations in the country. Through the Immigrants Legal Assistance Project (ILAP), the Justice Center provides direct legal assistance to low-income immigrants and migrant workers in order to help protect their civil rights and to assure that they have legal representation in immigration law matters. ILAP advocates also work in the community to build the capacity of other organizations providing legal assistance in immigration matters, to promote progressive policy options on issues affecting immigrants.
